Here are a few hints ad tips as to how I made my layout. Please see original post HERE for details of challenge.
Here is the sketch again for easy reference.
I used a sheet each of black and white Bazzill cardstock and three patterned papers from 'Green at Heart', by Basic Grey, all available from HERE and HERE.
Two sheets of black paper and plenty of clear gems 3mm.
This is what I did! ...
Trim the plain orange sheet called 'Sage' so it measures 11 1/2" x 11 1/2", ink edges and mount onto black Cardstock.
Cut 8 3" circles from Emerald paper - I used the Cricut Sweet Treats Cartridge for this (Flower 2, real dial size, layers, 3") or use a Woodware 3" Circle Punch, other circle cutting device or a pair of compasses and scissors!
Ink the circles and arrange them in a circle with the sides just touching one another. When you are happy with the arrangement you can stick them down. Place but don't stick your photo in the centre (it will look a little odd to start with).
Now cut 8 2 1/2" circles again I used the Cricut Sweet Treats Cartridge for this (Flower 2, real dial size, layers, 2 1/2") or use a Woodware 2 1/2" Circle punch or other method as before. Ink the edges and arrange these over the photo and towards the inside of the larger circles. Again once happy with the arrangement stick photo and circles in place. You may need to trim corners off photo if they show.
To make the wreath of flowers, punch or cut flowers using white Bazzill (or scraps of patterned papers).
I used the Cricut Sweet Treats Cartridge for this and cut 4 (Flower 3, real dial size, 2 1/2").
With the same cartridge and white cardstock cut 4 (Flower 2, real dial size, shadow blackout, shift, 2") or use punches to cut 2" blooms.
Then, still using white cardstock cut 8 flowers roughly 1" in size, I used the Cricut Sweet Treats Cartridge for this (Flower 2, shift, 2 1/2")
I used the small retro flower punch and the scraps of white card to punch 4 more flowers.
Then using black paper, cut 3 butterflies, I used the Marther Stewart Monarch Butterfly punch.
8 pine branches using the light green McGill 1"x 1 1/2" punch
8 stamen using the small 3/4" red stamen punch
Then still using black paper and the Cricut I cut corners and flourishes with the Heritage Cartridge:
Ink u the white petals with a variety of different coloured chalk inks, arrange all the blossoms, branches and butterflies until you are happy with your wreath, then stick all the elements down. I used 3D double sided foam pads to add height to some pieces.I cut a title for the page with black paper using the Cricut again, but any die cutting tool, or letter stickers can be used. Once the title is in place you can add the flourishes and ornate corners.
Lastly add plenty of gems to make your page sparkle!
