ChYps and A Card Challenge
Tracie Dempster, Head of Care at ChYps has asked us if we would like to take part in a card making challenge.
Together with Scrapology, Tracie has supplied the basic materials for making a daffodil sympathy card. The Chyps Team want to send out a card to families after the death of the child they have cared for. The team would like these cards to have some similarities and so the card blank, envelope, printed insert, some digital cardstock (for stamping) and the daffodil stamp have all been supplied together with Stazon or Memento Ink (for stamping). After that how you colour your image or decorate your card is up to you!
What Chyps would like you to do is take a set of these materials and make a card to donate back to them to use, there will be a prize for the best card too!
The materials will be available at the next few Scrapology Club nights and also at the Cardinal Colours Weekend Crop. You are welcome to make one or more, just ask Lynn. If you can't get to these events but would still like to take part please just ask, state the type of ink you need your image stamped in and we will send you the necessary materials.
So please have a think about how you would like to do this and join in the fun, helping ChYps at the same time.
Many thanks.
Lynn x

S is for Starburst
This month we are scraplifting the talented Sandie Edwards. Sandie's blog 'Delightfully Crazy' can be found HERE.
Sandie sent these words to us all -
"About Me: I live in
Geraldton, Western Australia with my partner who works in the mining industry
(FIFO), and our 3 year old son, Jesse. We are older parents, and also have
grown up children, as well as Grandchildren.
Throughout my
life I have dabbled in many areas of creativity. In 2011, I discovered
Scrapbooking and paper-crafting, and have enjoyed the journey over the last few
years immensely. Creating memories for future generations
is very important to me, especially being an avid diary writer – now my words
are included in scrapbook pages, mini albums and so forth. Creating is nearly a daily event for me,
it is not just something I love, but a hobby, I totally am devoted too, and
passionate about.
My ‘9 Months’
layout was created with the April, Limited Edition Kit, from My Creative
Scrapbook.
Sandie"
We drew our sketch as always
We are challenging you to create a layout with a 'starburst' using any shapes to create your circle to focus on the photograph.
Here are the layouts created by our design team to give you some inspiration. Please click on the names to be taken to the relevant blogs.
