August Scraplift Challenge Again

Bringing this post back to the top for easy access.

For the month of August we have selected this delightful layout to scraplift.

It was created by the talented Ingrid

A few words from Ingrid:

"I'm Ingrid Gooyer. I live in the Netherlands with a very sweet husband and two adorable girls, Tessa and Yiscka, 20 and 17 years old. For almost two years now, Tessa's boyfriend, Tom, is also living with us and it feels a bit like having a son too! A busy household sometimes, but I love every minute of it!

I work three days a week as an analyst in a lab. After a workday filled with lots of numbers and analyses, it's great to relax and do something creative as scrapbooking!  Started scrapping some years ago when I saw a friend making a holiday album. Thought this looked very nice so I gave it a try. No need to say that I was totally addicted to it since then! LOL!  I mostly scrap on a white background. Love the fresh and clean look of it.

Hope you all have fun with this challenge. Can't wait to see what you all come up with!!!"

Please see more of Ingrid's work HERE on Scrapbook.com - she is called IngridG.

June Card Challenge - That's Crafty

We really hope you are enjoyng our new card challenges - why not post a comment and say "Hello"?

June's challenge has been set by Laura from That's Crafty.
Laura said:
We are a small family run online business, established in 2005 and we sell a wide range of cardmaking & papercraft supplies and a large range of stamps. I’ve been crafting for a number of years and love all things Tim Holtz at the moment! The card I made used: Crafty Individuals stamp CI296, Catslife Press Unmounted Stamp - Happy Birthday Seal - 653F. Both the backgrounds were coloured using Tim Holtz Distress Stains and were then triple embossed with clear UTEE. The background of the card is the Kaisercraft Clear Stamp - Grunge and stamped with a Big Ranger Big and Juicy Ink Pad and there is silver leaf along the edge of the card.

This is the sketch to follow this month.

M is for Machine Stitching

For the summer month of June we have chosen to scraplift this layout by the talented Cindy Tobey.

Cindy says: "Hi! I'm Cindy Tobey, a graphic designer, turned stay-at-home-mom, turned paper craft designer. Creating art has been a huge part of my life since I was a child and I feel so blessed to be able to do everyday what I love so much. I'm currently a contributing writer for Creating Keepsakes magazine and a design team member for American Crafts. When I'm not creating something with paper, paint, fabric, beads, or fiber, you can find me playing with my kids, taking photos, reading a novel, or in the middle of a reorganization project around the house. I live in West Michigan with my husband, Allan, daughter, Moya and son, Elijah."

Our sketch for June.

May Card Challenge - Thanks!

I hope you all enjoyed last months card challenge?

This months has been set by the wonderful Zoe Pierson, see her blog here.

I'm addicted to card making, scrapbooking and chocolate! My style is quite simple and I struggle with tearing or anything messy! Nice clean lines, bright colours and a bit of glitter keeps me happy! You will see from this blog that I love a wide variety of products but my current addiction is Stampin' Up! I like nothing better than being in my craft room creating. (OK I admit it I organize, tidy and stroke more craft stuff than I use but it makes me happy!)

The theme is "Thanks" using the sketch below.

Zoe made this charming card.

E is for Embellishments

This month we have chosen to scraplift this delightful layout by Cindy Schneider, who we found on Scrapbook.com. This is a digital scrapbook page but we have all made layouts with paper and glue!

A few words from Cindy:
"My name is Cindy Schneider and I live in Ontario, Canada, approximately an hour away from Toronto. I am a SAHM with my two children, Ashley (7) and Curtis (5), and have been married to my husband Brad for almost 10 years. I have been digi-scrapping for about 4 1/2 years, shortly after the birth of my 2nd child. I was originally a paper scrapper, but it was too time consuming and messy with kids around, and glue became my worst enemy. I came across digi-scrapping online one day and have never turned back. I started out slowly and finally worked up the nerve to start a gallery and apply for some creative teams, and was lucky enough to get a spot on the Creative Team at the Sweet Shoppe in August 2007. At the same time I started doing quick pages and albums for various designers, which led into designing and selling templates At the end of March 2010 I moved my store to the fabulous Sweet Shoppe which I have loved for so many years. The community, designers, creative team, and owner, Robin Carlton, are all amazing! One of my other hobbies is definitely photography, I have been trying to improve my photography skills over the years, and I am rarely seen without a camera on hand!!"Here is the sketch the Design Team worked from.
