Card Challenge of October
This month the lovely Paula from CRAFTS U LOVE is challenging you to create a card for Christmas using Blue and Silver.
Crafts U Love was formed in September 2001 by Paula Baughan and Jenny Baughan (Mother in law). Both avid card makers at the time frustrated by the lack of quality craft companies. Using a spare bedroom and having a bathroom as a stockroom with an ironing board as a packing table was hardly ideal at the time, but served a useful purpose..
But how things have changed since then. In 2002 Paula's husband Geoff left his job to take over from his mother Jenny. Using his IT, Sales and Marketing background Geoff rebuilt the website and started a marketing campaign, which included full page adverts in various magazines, website promotion and attending shows up and down the country. Using Paula's creative talents and general business skills the business continued to grow and after moving home 3 times in 5 years to accommodate the business, it eventually outgrow their home. In July 2006 Crafts U Love moved to their current premises in Charlwood, Surrey. This enabled them to grow their product range and increase stock levels.
Crafts U Love is currently one of the largest Die Cutting and Rubber stamp stockists in the UK and now also stocks most of the world's leading die-cutting systems all of which are complimented by a wide range of general card making and scrapbooking products.

We have just heard from Robyn, and she said:
"Wow, they are all amazing! I
love seeing all the different interpretations. My vote is for Terri. I
love how she flipped the sketch and made it work with both horizontal
and vertical photos. Wonderful!
Thanks again for featuring my work.
Robyn"
Here is a reminder of TERRI's lovely layout:

L is for Labels
The Bling Princess is called Julianne and here are a few words from her:
"Hi there! My name is Julianne
McKenna-De Lumen, otherwise known as Jules The Bling Princess. I live in
the very beautiful and scenic Mount Barker, South Australia, and I have
been scrapping for 8 years. Fortunately for me, I have one (very
tolerant) husband, two
daughters, and eight cats, that are my most willing photographic subjects. When I am not scrapping, you will find me taking photos, being crafty, reading, cooking, or travelling.
daughters, and eight cats, that are my most willing photographic subjects. When I am not scrapping, you will find me taking photos, being crafty, reading, cooking, or travelling.
My
style has varied greatly over the years. I find it changes as I play
with new products, and learn different techniques. However, a love of
colour has always been a part of my style, along with an even bigger
love of bling, and all things sparkly. My work is feminine, colourful,
and all about the details. My go to products include texture paste,
masks, Glimmermist, and Pan Pastels. And flowers - I have a whole other
addiction there.
Over
the years, I have been blessed to be a part of many wonderful Design
Teams - including, but not limited to, Pencil Lines, Zva Creative,
PaperHaus, Imaginarium Designs, Kaisercraft and Colorbok. I have loved
every minute of working with all these wonderful Design Teams as it has
allowed me to grow as an artist, and to meet, and make, some amazing
lifelong friends.
I
have been fortunate to be published numerous times in Scrapbooking
Memories and Scrapbook Creations. I have my first commissioned article
with Australian Scrapbook Ideas coming out later this year. You can find
more about me on my blog: http://julestheblingprincess.blogspot.com/
. "
